visualizing the flow itself that runs within the urban body as linework.

Arterial Grid reinterprets urban infrastructure and structural networks through manga-inspired line expression,
making visible the tension, circulation, and latent energy embedded within a static cityscape.

Based on the core perspective of the MANGA MIYAKO DISTORTION Collection—
urban structure viewed through the lens of Japanese manga background art—
this work focuses on the dense network of lines that governs the city,
reconstructing a dystopian interpretation of MIYAKO where order and chaos coexist.

A finely detailed pen-drawn base defines the architectural skeleton of the city,
while layered light and shadow color systems introduce depth, rhythm, and spatial vibration,
giving the impression of a city pulsing from within.

This artwork is available in six color variations.
By adjusting color balance and contrast,
the atmosphere and narrative of the city can be dramatically transformed.

Designed for fashion textiles,

Layer visibility control and color adjustments are permitted;
however, extraction of individual motifs, redistribution, conversion into reusable assets,
resale, or secondary distribution of the data is strictly prohibited.

A textile series that reconstructs a dystopian city (MIYAKO) by referencing urban structures found in Japanese manga background art,
distorting architectural linework to inject flow, tension, and energy into static imagery.
